Early Fall. Seedling of unknown parentage discovered in Sparta Michigan in 1960 and introduced in 1967.

Medium-sized roundish oblate bright purple-red fruit that is gaining a lot of fans in central Maine. Not as dark red as Macoun or Black Oxford. Resembles McIntosh in appearance. Firm, crisp, juicy, sub-acid flesh. Well-shaped productive regularly bearing medium-sized tree. Z4.
