From early May through October 31, items shipping from
our garden seeds warehouse ship twice a week, usually
Tuesday and Thursday. For quickest turnaround
time order online by noon Monday or Wednesday.
We will not be fulfilling seed orders from May
20 - May 22 while we do physical inventory count. Orders
placed by Monday, May 19 at 10am will be shipped before
the break. We will resume normal order fulfillment on
Friday, May 23.
Items shipping from our growing supplies warehouse take 7-10 business days to process.
Itoh Peonies were born out of the search for a perfect yellow peony such as this!
We have to imagine that these radiant yellow blooms with very slight orange-red center flares would have warmed the cockles of Dr. Itoh’s heart. Bred by Roger Anderson, who carried on Dr. Itoh’s work of developing the perfect yellow peony. The fragrant 6" semi-double to double blooms are simply gorgeous, and foliage looks great all season into the fall.

Items from our perennial plants warehouse will ship around September 30 through October. Bulbs can be planted successfully up until your ground freezes.

Itoh Peonies
30–36" tall. Also known as Intersectional Hybrid Peonies, Itoh Peonies are a cross between herbaceous garden peonies and tree peonies and feature the best of both. Giant blossoms (like the ones on tree peonies) open just after the garden peonies have faded.
The growth habit is similar to garden peonies with attractive mounded foliage that dies back in the winter. Don’t cut it back to the ground in fall. Leave at least 6" of hardwood stems above the ground—next year’s buds need room to develop on the lower stems. Full planting and pruning instructions will be included with your order.
