‘Max Frei’ Bloody Cranesbill Geranium

×
bare-root plants
Geranium sanguinium

4-9" tall.

Cunning bright magenta cups with purple-blue anthers cover tidy deep green lacy foliage.

Vigor, longevity, hardiness, lo-o-ong flowering period and lush attractive foliage make cranesbill useful for borders, edging, rock gardens or as an orchard companion. This species’ compact form works well in containers, too.

Max Frei is the pen name of Ukrainian magic realist writer Svetlana Martynchik.

This species is native to Europe and Asia but naturalized in the Northeast. It’s considered more drought tolerant that others in the genus. Z3.
