12-15' Extremely hardy peach originated in the harsh Gobi desert where wind and temperature fluctuations can be extreme. Thrives in areas where other peaches might fail.
Long prized as a cold-resistant dwarfing peach rootstock, it’s gaining popularity for its own abundant crops of small tasty yellow-skinned white-fleshed fruit that are rich, sweet and tart. Best for juicing and drying. Good fresh eating, though fruits tend to be a little hard.
Ripens very late in the season, a bit after Madison. Naturally compact trees show resistance to brown rot and natural pest resistance. Z3.
