Small-to-medium elongated fruit with dark blue-purple skin covered in a shiny protective bloom. Flesh is greenish-amber, firm, aromatic and easily detaches from the pits. Mostly sweet with a mild tartness. Fruit can hang on tree for weeks after ripening.
Famous in Bosnia and Herzegovina for making sweet and creamy preserves known as slatko, often paired with cheese. The juice is commonly fermented and distilled into brandy.
Trees are upright, self-fruitful and prolific. Late-season bloomer. Z4.
