Early season, buff skin, white flesh.
This smooth-skinned slightly oblong spud with its firm flaky cooked texture is perfectly delectable for baking, boiling or frying. It’s not the absolute earliest of the earlies, but it is certainly one of the tastiest. We love that down-home earthy flavor. Developed in Wisconsin in the mid-1900s, Superior has stood the test of time for a reason. All-purpose, good yields, good storability, and resistant to common scab.
